Written by Rebecca Levene.

Takes place in London; self-dated 2040 CE, and after Outsourcing as published. London Bridge is a circituitous way from Camden to Battersea, but the route is being taken by a golem, so perhaps it has geomantic significance.

Fashion Victims   Comic story, published 2010                                        Doctor: 11

Featuring Amy

Written by Christopher Cooper.

Informed guess Takes place in London; self-dated the twenty-first century CE.

Signs and Wonders   Audio drama, released 2014                      Doctor: 7

Featuring UNIT, Ace, Hex, Sally, with Lysandra (informative mention)

Informed guess Takes place in Liverpool; the later sections dated seventeen years after Afterlife.

The Martian (2015) starts in 2035. Watney then spends five hundred and sixty Martian days, say five hundred and seventy five terrestrial days, on Mars. The trip back to Earth takes a further eight months, say, and the film ends five years after that, so I’m guessing about 2043 CE. It’s all. I think compatible with Doctor Who narrative.

Deep Stretch   Short story, published 2003                                                Doctor: 3

featuring Sarah Jane

informed guess Takes place at sea, near the UK; plausibly in the mid twenty-first century CE.

The Feast of Axos   Audio drama, released 2011                           Doctor: 6

Takes place on the Moon, in a version of 2044 CE.

The Penta Ray Factor   Comic story, published 1965                               Doctor: 0

featuring the Daleks

Written by Angus Duncan, Alan Fennell, Terry Nation and David Whitaker.

Informed guess Takes place on Solturis; soon after The Amaryll Challenge.

Plague of Death   Comic story, published 1965                                         Doctor: 0

featuring the Daleks

informed guess Takes place on Skaro, during and after The Penta Ray Factor.

The Menace of the Monstrons   Comic story, published 1965              Doctor: 0

featuring the Daleks

informed guess Takes place on Skaro, immediately after Plague of Death. The Monstrons are a couple of laid back Black dudes who reduce the Daleks to cowering beneath the ruins of their city without undue effort and relax afterwards with what appear to be cocktails.

The Duellists   Comic story, published 1969                                             Doctor: 4 or 2

featuring the Quarks

Written by John Canning.

Takes place on Hekton; self-dated 2044 CE. I tend to the opinion that this actually happened to Four rather than Two because a) John Canning is here both writing and modifying his own artwork, so this may be considered his final cut; b) I like the idea of Four wearing Two’s tailcoat and baggy checked trousers; and c) I like the idea of Four being menaced by the Quarks. Where humanoids with a thing about Regency England on a planet in another stellar system come from in the early twenty-first century CE is anybody’s guess; Trion cultists, perhaps.
