space is quite corporate.
The Oil Well Comic story,
published 1964 Doctor:
0
featuring the Daleks
Written by David Whitaker and Terry Nation.
Informed guess Takes place on Venus; shortly after Red for Danger. Oil fields on Venus must be impressively ancient:
presumably the remains of the ecosphere seen three billion years previously in Venusian Lullaby.
The Secret of the
Mountain Illustrated
short story, published 1964 Doctor:
0
featuring the Daleks
Written by David Whitaker and Terry Nation.
Informed guess Takes place on Venus; some time after The Oil Well.
City of the Daleks Comic story,
published 1964 Doctor: 0
featuring the Daleks
Written by David Whitaker and Terry Nation.
Informed guess Takes place on Skaro;
after The Secret of the
Mountain, as published.
The Conquest of Far Audio drama, released 2017 Doctor: 3
Featuring the
Daleks, Jo
Written by Nicholas Briggs.
Informed guess Takes place on and near Far, in Tellurian space. That the Daleks have
no record of the Doctor’s third incarnation puts this before Frontier in Space, I
think, but the Gateway is no longer new, suggesting that Tellurian space is
extensive. The Telluro-Dalek conflict of the early twenty-fifth century seems a
plausible time for it. The Dalek Book
concentrates on conflict in the Solar System,
but Gurnian (The Monsters
of Gurnian) is certainly outside it, confirming that
this confrontation was more widespread.

Informed guess Takes place on Earth; after The Humanoids, as published.
Divided Loyalties Novel, published 1999 Doctors: 1, 5
featuring the Time Lords, the Toymaker, Adric, Nyssa,
Tegan, and the Master, Mortimus, the Rani (glimpse)
Written by Gary Russell.
ig Takes place on Dymok;
Lance Parkin gives the date as 2408 CE in Ahistory. The “Earth
Empire” was at its height in the mid-twenty-fourth century, Gary Russell
informs us. I assume that this was some short-lived institution, probably
centred on a single individual, like France’s two Bonapartist empires. Perhaps
it arose as a response to the Cyber Wars, and its fall was plausibly part of
the pattern of “colonial events” following the Cyber Wars. It could also
explain the existence of a titular King of Earth in The Sword of Forever in the late twenty-sixth
century.
The Monsters of Gurnian Comic story, published 1964 Doctor: 0
featuring the Daleks
Written by David Whitaker and Terry Nation.
Informed guess Takes place on Gurnian; after The Small Defender, as published.

Written by David Whitaker and Terry Nation.
Takes place in the outer Solar System; self-dated 2409 CE, and after The Monsters of Gurnian, as published.
The Battle for the Moon Comic story, published 1964 Doctor: 0
featuring the Daleks
Written by David Whitaker and Terry Nation.
Informed guess Takes place on the Moon; after Break-Through, as published.
The Intergalactic Trials Comic story,
published 2012 Doctor: 11
Featuring Amy
or an Amy ganger, Rory
Written by Luke Paton.
Takes place at an
interstellar sports venue; self-dated 2412 CE.
The Romance of Crime Novel, published 1995 Doctor:
4
featuring the Ogrons, K9 II, Romana, Menlove Stokes
Written by Gareth Roberts.
Informed guess Takes place in the Uva Beta Uva system; self-dated
the early Twenty-Fifth century CE.
Why I Respectfully Disagree With Lance Parkin’s
Dating
2380 CE is, in-story, actually some considerable time ago, and Stokes
had an exhibition some years back in the new century.
Garbage Day! Comic story,
published 2012 Doctor: 11
Written by Glenn Dakin.
Takes place on Earth;
self-dated 2423 CE.
Briefly Noted Illustrated short story, published 1994 Doctor: 2
featuring Jamie, Zoe

Informed guess Takes place on a Tellurian space station, before
Stradivarius violins have decayed out of tune.

of Doom Comic
story, published 1980 Doctor:
4
featuring the Daleks, K9 II, Sharon
Written by John Wagner and Pat Mills.

are explicitly time-active, rather than contemporary.
Curiosity Short
story, published 2008 Doctor:
5
featuring Nyssa
Written by Mike Amberry.
Informed guess Takes place on a world in the Ardelban system,
generations after a Tellurian space liner has crashed there and remained
unsalvaged.
The Age of Chaos Comic story, published 1994 Doctor: 6
featuring Frobisher, and Peri (glimpse)
Written by Colin Baker.
Informed guess Takes place on Krontep, a couple of generations
after Doctor Who - Mindwarp.
Rest and Re-Creation Comic story,
published 1993 Doctor:
4
featuring the Zygons, Leela
Written by Scott Gray, as Warwick Gray.
Informed guess Takes place on Shontaa. The Zygons seem to have
flourished generally in the second and third millennia CE.
Solaris (1972) is set in an era of Earth-centered
interstellar exploration. (In the original novel, the planet Solaris has been
investigated for decades). I am very speculatively proposing it for inclusion
in Doctor Who narrative in the early twenty-fifth century.
Gods of Winter Audio story, released 2015 Doctor: 12
Featuring Clara
Written by James Goss.
Informed guess Takes place principally on the homeworld of the Golhearn, a couple of
generations before The House of
Winter.
The Last Thing You Ever
See Short
story, published 2008 Doctor: 4
featuring Sarah Jane, Harry
Written by Richard Goff.
Informed guess Takes place in space; the presence of nanite
technology suggests a time around, or after, Nanomorphosis.
Silent Warrior Audio drama, released 1999 Doctor:
0
featuring the Sontarans
Written by Peter Grehan.
Informed guess Takes place in Tellurian space, apparently before
widespread contact with the Sontarans.
