Why I Respectfully Disagree With Lance Parkin
On Dating.
Parkin assumes that this must take place a few years after Lords of the Storm, presumably because the Sontarans have
not yet taken advantage of the Sentarion worm-hole...but Admiral Sarg is
regarded as an eccentric, and this project will have been given a low priority.
A time much closer to Mean Streets, particularly with regard to Garshak’s
lifespan, makes more sense, I think.
Pitch Black (2000) is set in an Earth-based
interstellar culture and dated 2578, all I think entirely compatible with
Doctor Who narrative.
Possum Kingdom Novella, published 2008 Doctor:?8

by Trevor Baxendale.
Informed guess Takes place in Tellurian space, after the Draconian War, ‘five hundred
years’ after the formulation of the Oesterhagen principle, and forty years
after the Daleks’ initial attack on Tellurian space in the twenty-sixth century
CE. That the Daleks are ruled by the Supreme Dalek suggests that the Golden
Emperor did indeed perish on the Death Wheel, in Nemesis of the Daleks.

0
featuring Braxiatel,

in the Adnethe system; self-dated six months after Benny has joined St.Oscar’s,
but it probably means sixteen, being written, after all, by Gary Russell.
Iris Wildthyme and the
Claws of Santa Audio drama, released 2009 Doctor: 0
Featuring Iris Wildthyme
Written by Cavan Scott and Mark Wright.
Informed guess Takes place partly in a planet-sized shopping mall and at the North

chronology? There are android store detectives. That’s about it, really.
Mean Streets Novel, published 1997 Doctor:

Informed guess Takes place on Dellah, before Where Angels Fear, but an autumn, “some years” after 2592 CE. Of
course, there is no reason to suppose that Dellahan years, and autumns,
coincide with Tellurian ones.
Where Angels Fear Novel,

0
Featuring Braxiatel, the Ice Warriors. Benny, Chris, the Worldsphere, with the Time Lords (glimpse)
Written by Justin Richards.
Takes place in Tellurian space, several
months after
The Mary-Sue Extrusion. For Chris, it takes place immediately after Dead Romance, and therefore in 2596 CE. It is not impossible
that the Oracle, who is clearly known to Braxiatel, is the Civitata statue from
the City of the Saved, which is to say the last iteration of Compassion,
enjoying an after-afterlife back in the universe.

published 2012 Doctor: 0

Across the Darkened City Audio
drama, released 2017 Doctor:
1
Featuring the
Daleks, Steven, with Vicki (informative mention)
Written by David Bartlett.
Informed guess Takes place on Shade, near but not necessarily inTellurian space. At
the end of the story, Dalek Two One Zero becomes Emperor. Because he initiates
research into the Human Factor, the implication is that he is the Emperor seen
in The Evil of
the Daleks; but
in Doctor Who –
The Evil of the Daleks, the novelisation, that Emperor is explicitly identified as the former Dalek
Prime. My suggestion is that this story takes place between Nemesis of the Daleks, when the Golden Emperor is killed, and the Telluro-Dalek conflict of
the early twenty-seventh century, at the end of which the Daleks, and their Emperor,
are disarmed and confined to Skaro (The Mechanical Planet).
The Joy Device Novel,

0

Takes place mostly on
Dellah; self-dated almost a year after Tears of the Oracle.
Isolation Charity short
story, published 1999 Doctor: 8
Featuring Benny,
Chris, with the Draconians (glimpse)
Written by Gareth Humphreys.
Takes place on Kreuznaer,
two or three years after Oblivion.
Null Ziet Audio story,

Written by Scott Harrison.
Informed guess Takes place on Olkesh, after Tap as released, and at Christmas.
Pureblood Comic story,
published 1993 Doctor: 7
featuring the Sontarans, the Rutan, Benny, and the Daleks
(informative mention)
informed guess Takes place above Pandora; self-dated the
twenty-sixth century. Apparently, it is some time after Love and War. The Doctor says the Sontaran-Rutan conflict has
been going on for ten centuries, which is very wrong, unless he is using
Pandoran centuries and Pandora takes over thirty million years to orbit its
primary, which would make it a very long way out. Stave is addressed as Marshal
and Admiral: perhaps dual rank was conferred on him as a crisis response to the
fall of Sontara. The Pureblood Sontarans are tall and spindly, but if they have
spent over three aeons on a planet with lower gravity than Sontara, that is a
very modest change.
Kill the Mouse! Short story,
published 2002 Doctor:
0
featuring Braxiatel, Benny
Written by Daniel O’Mahony.
Informed guess Takes place on Ganesh; after Twilight of the Gods but before The Infernal Nexus.

Informed guess Takes place on Apalapucia at some point in Earth’s interstellar
expansion.
Glory to the Reborn King Audio story, released 2020 Doctor: 0
Featuring Benny
Written by Matthew
Griffiths.
Informed guess Takes place on Telway, after Null Ziet as released.
Time’s Team Short story,
published 2002 Doctor:
0
Featuring Braxiatel, Benny
Written by David A McIntee.
Informed guess Takes place in the Koloppan system; some time after Twilight of the Gods. That Benny, here described as an academic, is
working with Braxiatel, does not, I think, mean she has started working at the
Collection.
Little Doctors Audio story, released 2015 Doctor: 2
Featuring Jamie,
Zoe
Written by Philip Lawrence.
Informed guess Takes place on Olympos, in Tellurian space, in the not too near future.
