In Corpse Marker there are anti-robot mechanisms in Kaldor City, the existence and purpose of which have been forgotten, so I am dating this story far in Kaldor’s past, at a time shortly after its separation from the mainstream of interstellar society, plausibly in the disintegration of the first empire.
