informed guess Takes place in Middlesbrough; Muriel Frost, a Captain,
possibly breveted to Major, in The Mark
of Mandragora, is now at least a Lieutenant-Colonel. I’m assuming that
references to the Blitz being “fifty” years previously are rounding down.
Middlesbrough is a port of Yorkshire.

The Tate
Modern is blown up. How’s that for situationism?
Alien Vs Predator (2004) may be considered, in terms of Doctor Who

section that is contemporary: Richard is a fan of Pokemon, which did not exist
in 1994. The later encounter with him must be around 2014 CE.

informed guess Takes place in London, dated late 2004 CE in Rise of the Dominator; Winnington, born
in the 1980s CE, is already an army captain, which is impressive.
Tropical Malady (2004) is a film that plays with the conventions of cinematic narrative to the extent that it is difficult to pin down the significance of what you are watching, but it arguably concerns a man who transforms into a tiger in the Thai countryside, and a soldier who is his lover and the man with responsibility for protecting the villagers from the tiger. Like the werewolves of Doctor Who narrative, this were-tiger switches from physical to narrative as it switches from human to feline.
