The Kingmaker Audio drama, released 2006 Doctors: 5, with
4 (glimpse) and 9 (informative mention)
featuring the William Shakespeare thing, the Princes
in the Tower thing, the Plantagenet dynasty, Peri, Erimem
Written by Nev Fountain.
Takes place partly in London, self-dated 1485 CE. William Shakespeare
leaves linear time, being aboard the TARDIS when it dematerialises in 1597 CE.
He effectively swaps places with Richard III, and presumably dies at the Battle
of Bosworth, his body later being found beneath a Leicester car park (after
this drama was released). Richard Plantagenet leaves linear time in 1485 CE and
takes up Shakespeare’s persona and career a hundred and twelve years later. The
explanation for the disappearance of the Princes in the Tower given here
contradicts the one given in The Chase:
Princes in the Tower. Evidently it is a
heavily overwritten event, possibly as a result of the Second War in Heaven.
