Then Again: The Twenty-Sixties
Scribbles in Chalk Short story,
published 2004 Doctor:
Unbound 1
featuring Unbound
Steven, Unbound Katarina
Written by Gareth Wigmore.
Arbitrary placement Takes place on the world of the Lakhotha. There is
no time for this story between The
Myth Makers and The Dalek Masterplan, so I am assuming it is part of the phantom
history created by the Chronovore in Euridyce’s
Reprieve.
Prime Imperative Novel, published 2016 Doctor: 0
Featuring Erimem
Written by Julianne Todd.
Takes place above the
Earth; self-dated 2062 CE.
Legacy of Yesteryear Comic story,
published 1966
Doctor:
0
featuring the Daleks
Written by Angus Allan, David Fennell, Terry Nation and David Whitaker.
Informed guess Takes place on Skaro, some time after The Terrorkon Harvest.
The Last Dodo Novel, published 2007 Doctor: 10
Featuring Martha,
the Time Lords, the Daleks (informative mention)
Written by Jacqueline
Rayner.
Takes place principally in
The Museum of the Last Ones; self-dated 2062 CE.
Ace’s Diary Entry, 23rd
November 2062 Charity drabble, published 1993 Doctor: 7
featuring Ace
Written by Sophie Aldred.
Takes place in the TARDIS; self-dated November, 2062 CE.
Lackaday Express Short story, published 1994 Doctor: 5
featuring Nyssa, Tegan
Written by Paul Cornell.
Informed guess Takes place in the Solar System; some decades after
the 1980s CE.
Canaries Online short story, posted 2020 Doctors: 8, 11,
Unbound
Featuring the
Daleks, Faction Paradox
Written by Dave Rudden.
The Lair of Zarbi Supremo Illustrated short
story, published 1965 Doctor: 1
featuring Vortis
Written by David Whitaker and Dennis Spooner.
Informed guess Takes place on Vortis, which is at this point near
Jupiter; although the Doctor identifies the children’s voices as Twentieth
Century CE, the level of space travel suggests the Twenty-First. Jupiter
was, by the Common Era, the fifth and largest planet of the Solar System, a gas
giant.
Bumble of Destruction Comic story, published 2012 Doctor: 11
Featuring Amy or an Amy ganger, Rory
Written
by Craig Donaghy.
Takes
place in London; self-dated 2064 CE.
Dalek Saturn Probe Illustrated short story, published 1966 Doctor: 0
featuring the Daleks
Written by Brad Ashton and Terry Nation.
Informed guess Takes place on Titan, during Tellurian exploration
of the Solar System. The Daleks presented here would be time travellers from
the future, rather than colonists from contemporary Skaro. Titan was a
moon of Saturn.
War in a Time of Peace Short story, published 2007 Doctor: 8
featuring Charley
Written by Steve Lockley and Paul Lewis.
Takes place in Prague; self-dated December 2064 CE.
Twilight’s End Short story,
published 2008 Doctor:
7
featuring the Vampires
Written by Cavan Scott and Mark Wright.
Informed guess Takes place beneath a skyscraper kept upright by
centrifuges; self-dated many decades after Project: Lazarus, but not too
much more than a century after World War I.
Full Fathom Five Audio drama, released 2003 Doctor:
Unbound
Written by David Bishop.
Takes place on the US western seaboard; self-dated 2066 CE.
The Trodos Tyranny Comic story,
published 1966
Doctor:
1
featuring Gillian, John, the Trods
Written by Roger Noel Cook.
Takes place on Trodos; self-dated 2066 CE. Like the inhabitants of
Hekton in The Duellists, the presence of a humanoid named MacTaggart in
another stellar system in the twenty-first century is a bit of a puzzle.
If the film Moon (2009) is to be incorporated into
Doctor Who narrative, Bell’s original mission, fifteen years before the film’s
action, must surely have been after The
Waters of Mars in 2049.
Stop the Pigeon Short story,
published 1998 Doctor: 7
featuring the Master, the Krynoids, Ace
Written by Mike Tucker and Robert Perry.
Takes place in London; the later section self-dated August 2067 CE
Shadow of Humanity Comic story,
published 1966
Doctor:
0
featuring the Daleks
Written by Angus Allan, David Fennell, Terry Nation and David Whitaker.
Informed guess Takes place on Skaro; some time after Legacy of Yesteryear as published.
Alien Bodies Novel, published 1997 Doctors:
8, with 3 (glimpse)
featuring the Krotons, Faction Paradox, the Second War
in Heaven, Sam, with the Daleks, Sarah Jane (glimpse), and the Voord, the
Cybermen, UNIT (informative mention)
Written by Lawrence Miles.
Takes place mainly in Borneo; self-dated March, 2069 CE. It has been
suggested that Mr Quixotl may be Drax or Glitz; my own guess, from the
reference to damage to his face, is Mortimus (see No Future).
