century” after The
Monster of Peladon.
The Dalek Trap Comic story,
published 1966 Doctor: 0
featuring
the Daleks

Informed guess Takes place on Skaro; the Tellurian spaceships are
similar to those in The
Brain Tappers, and may even
be the same ones.
A Small Semblance of Home Audio short
story, released 2018 Doctor: 1
Featuring Susan, Barbara, Ian

Informed guess Takes place on an unnamed planet in Tellurian Space; the Doctor says it
is a couple of thousand years after Ian’s time.
The Super Sub Comic story,
published 1966 Doctor: 0
featuring
the Daleks
Written by Brad Ashton and Terry Nation.
Informed guess Takes place on Earth, at sea, “over a thousand
years” since the disappearance of a Dalek submarine (in the conflict depicted
in We Are the Daleks!?); plausibly during the conflict around The Daleks’ Master Plan.
The False Guardian and
Time’s Assassin

Smith.
Informed guess Takes
place on Neptune, immediately after The Wrong Woman.

Dorney.
Informed guess Takes

of Destruction.
Arena (1989) is a film set
in a galaxy-wide, multispecies civilisation, and is set in 4038, which poses no
problems for inclusion in Doctor Who narrative.
Hotel Historia Comic story, published 2008 Doctor: 10
Featuring Majenta
Written by Dan McDaid.
Takes place in London;
partially self-dated January 4039 CE. Majenta, who first meets the Doctor on
this occasion, has already left linear time, having access to time travel
technology.
The Fate Of The Earth
Earth is
attacked by the Graxnix.
Thinktwice Comic story,
published 2008 Doctor:
10
Featuring Majenta

Written by Trevor Baxendale.
Takes place in Washington, D.C.; self-dated 4041 CE.
Pest
Control Audio story, released 2008 Doctor: 10
Featuring Donna
Written by Peter Anghelides.
Informed guess Takes place on Rescension; temporally self-located during the Second
Great and Bountiful Human Empire, so relatively close to Planet of the
Ood.
Road Rage Comic story,
published 2011 Doctor: 11
Featuring Amy,
Rory
Written by Trevor Baxendale.
Informed guess Takes place in the city of Metrolos; self-dated the forty-first century
CE.

World Distributors Annual 1982 crew.

The Only Good Dalek Comic story, published 2010 Doctor:
11
Featuring the
Daleks, Amy, with the Mechanoids, the Ogrons (glimpse)
Written by Justin Richards.
Informed guess Takes place on and above Strantana; self-dated the forty-first century
CE. Tellurians have been fighting the Daleks “for a century”.
The Impossible Planet and
The Satan Pit: Tardisodes
Video drama, posted online 2006 Doctor: 0
Written by Gareth Roberts.
Takes place on Krop Tor, before The Impossible
Planet and The Satan Pit.
The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit
TV story, broadcast 2006 Doctor: 10
Featuring Rose,
the Ood
Written by Matt Jones, script
supervised by Russell T Davies.
Takes place on Krop Tor;
dated the Forty-Second century in Planet of the Ood, although 4221 in The Torchwood
Archive, which I assume is using a different calendar.
Food for Thought Comic story,
published 1994 Doctor: 1
featuring Polly, Ben
Written by Nick
Briggs.
Informed guess Takes place on
Apresar IV. By this time, Tellurian colonies are themselves running
terraforming programmes.
Planet of the Ood TV story, broadcast 2008 Doctor: 10
Featuring the
Ood, Donna
Written by Keith Temple,
script supervised by Russell T Davies.
Takes place on the Ood
Sphere; self-dated 4126 CE. The Oodsphere is part of the Second Great and
Bountiful Human Empire. At this stage, the primary political authority in
Mutter’s Spiral, or at least the Solar System’s part of it, appears to be the
Federation. The 2G&BHE seems to me to be more of a cultural phenomenon, and
certainly a commercial one, possibly the result of extensive Tellurian
interstellar emigration in the late fourth millennium. I differentiate it from
the Second Empire, post Great Breakout, in the early sixth millennium.
Time of the Ood Comic story,
published 2017 Doctor: 11
Featuring the
Ood, Alice, the Sapling
Written by James Peaty.
Takes place on The Devil’s
Eye and the Oodsphere, not long after Planet of the Ood.
A Comedy of Terrors Illustrated short story, published 2016 Doctor:
2
Featuring Jamie,
Zoe, the Raxaforricofallapatorians
Written by Colin Brake.
Informed guess Takes place in Tellurian space, at Christmas ; the works of Shakespeare
are still (imperfectly) remembered.
The
Last Voyage Audio story, released 2010 Doctor: 10
Written by Dan Abnett.
Takes place in Tellurian space; dated 4150 CE by Parkin in Ahistory. Earth is officially possessed of an empire,
but largely uninhabitable.
Peaceniks Illustrated short story, published 2015 Doctor: 0
Featuring K9
I(2)
Written by Bob Baker.
Informed guess Takes place in Tellurian space. The Federation has been in existence
for over a thousand years.
The Living Death Illustrated short story, published 1966 Doctor: 0
featuring the Daleks
Written by Brad
Ashton and Terry Nation.
Informed guess Takes place on
Skaro and Earth. These events don’t seem connected to any of the others in The
Dalek Outer Space Book; this seems to be another in
the Daleks’ increasingly unhinged attempts to conquer Earth, plausibly some
time between Diamond Dust and The
Secret of the Emperor. The Earth’s population is given as four billion:
presumably much of its surface is still uninhabitable, so its people would be
squeezed into densely populated environments.
The
Iris Wildthyme Appreciation Society
Audio drama, released
2012 Doctor: 0
Featuring Iris
Wildthyme
Written by Cavan Scott.
Informed guess Takes place on Trull; self-dated the forty-second century CE.

story, posted online 2007 Doctor: 10
Featuring Martha

Informed guess Takes place in the Torajii system; self-dated the forty-second century

with the Master (informative mention)
Written by Chris Chibnall,

Takes place in Torajii
system, immediately after 42 Prologue.
All Snug in Their Beds Short story, published 2007 Doctor: 4
featuring K9 II, Romana, with Christmas (informative mention)
Written by Scott
Alan Woodward.
Informed guess Takes place in
Space; self-dated three centuries after the fortieth century CE.
Empire of Shadows Audio drama, released
2021 Doctor: 0
Featuring Torchwood
Written by James
Goss.
Takes place in
Tellurian space, not long after The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit,
say fifteen years. However ceremonial the Second Great and Bountiful Human Empire
may have been, there seems to have been an Imperial family associated with it.
Vacuum Packed Comic story,
published 2011 Doctor: 11
Featuring Amy
or an Amy ganger, Rory
Written by Christopher
Cooper.
Informed guess. Takes place in Antarctica, “thousands” of years after 1950 CE, but I would think before the solar flares that I imagine will be melting the icecaps soon after this.
The Great Space Elevator Audio drama, released 2008 Doctor: 2
featuring Jamie, Victoria
Written by
Jonathan Morris.
Informed guess Takes place in
and above Sumatra, an island in the Indonesian archipelago; some considerable
time in Earth’s future.
Sleepers in the Dust Audio story, released 2012 Doctor: 11
Featuring Amy or an Amy ganger, Rory
Written by Darren Jones.
Informed guess Takes place on Nadurniss; at least two thousand years after the early
nineteenth century CE.
The Yes Men Audio drama, released 2015 Doctor: 2
Featuring Polly, Ben, Jamie, with the Mim, Dodo (informative
mention)
Written by Simon Guerrier.
(evidently ineffectual) Earth Empire (the Second Great and Bountiful Human?),
there is a reference to 30th century furniture and the last Guardian of the Solar
System. The Mim appear to have been finished as an interstellar power in Freedom of Information, in the mid-third millennium, but they invaded New Houston a few decades previously to this.
Eternity Springs Comic story,
published 2014 Doctor: 11
Featuring Clara
Written by Steve Lyons.
Informed guess Takes place on a Tellurian colony world, some time in the future.
Interstitials Illustrated short story, published 2015 Doctor: 0
Featuring K9
I(2)
Written by Bob Baker.
Informed guess Takes place in Tellurian space; as K9 is heading for a place called New
Earth, I assume it’s not too long after Peaceniks.
Gold and Black Ooze Short story, published 2007 Doctor: 6
featuring Peri
Written by Robert
Hood.
Takes place in
a recreation of seventeenth century Prague; self-dated 4240 CE.
Nekromanteia Audio drama, released
2003 Doctor: 5
featuring Peri, Erimem, the Pakhars
Written by
Austen Atkinson.
Informed guess Takes place on
the Garazone and Nekromanteia. The Garazone exists by the early Twenty Sixth
century (The
Sword of Orion) and still exists by the early Seventh Millenium (Dalek
Empire: Death to the Daleks); this is placed arbitrarily between them.
The Roots of Evil Short story, published 2013
Doctor: 4, with 11 (informative mention)
Featuring Leela,
K9 I
Written by Philip Reeve.
Informed guess Takes place on the Heligan Structure, many centuries after it has been
terraformed in the twenty-fourth century.
Etheria
Audio short
story, released 2015 Doctor: 1
featuring Vicki, Steven
Written by Nick Wallace.
Arbitrary placement Takes place on an unnamed planet.
The Death Collectors Audio drama, released 2008 Doctor: 7
Written
by Stewart Sheargold.
Informed guess Takes place above Antikon; dated 4300 CE by Parkin
in Ahistory.
The Dogs of War Short story, published 2007 Doctor: 4
featuring Leela, K9 I
Written by Brian
Keene.
Informed guess Takes place in
Prague; the Doctor dates it as 2406. However, generations of a ruined Prague
being ruled by the Canines would seem to preclude the early twenty-fifth
century CE. I’d like to
suggest here another calendar: it is clear from Intergalactic
CAT that the First Empire made a big deal of the
thousandth anniversary of Tellurian space flight, so I suggest a calendar
starting at 1957, which could entail the Space Years mentioned in Genesis
of the Daleks (in the Space Year 17,000, there was evidently a
war between the Daleks and Venus, which would be 18,957 CE). Space Year 2406
would be 4363 CE.
The War to End All Wars Audio drama, released
2014 Doctor: 1
Featuring Steven,
Dodo
Written by Simon Guerrier.
Informed guess Takes place on Comfort, at some point, in Tellurian space.
Crimson Dawn Short story, published 1995 Doctor:
4
featuring Leela, K9 I, and the Ice Warriors (glimpse)
Written by Tim Robins.
Informed guess Takes place on
Mars. The date is given as 2426, but references to Peladon place it well after The
Monster of Peladon. I’m going to interpret 2426 as an Imperial
Space Year, making it 4383 CE.
A Christmas Carol TV story, broadcast 2010 Doctor: 11
Featuring Amy,
Rory
Written by Steven Moffat.
Takes place on and above an unnamed planet in
Tellurian Space; self-dated Christmas Eve, 4398 CE.
Keepsake Audio drama, released
2008 Doctor:
7
Written by James
Swallow.
Informed guess Takes place on
Space Station Juliet-November-Kilo, “almost two thousand years” after Kingdom
of Silver.
The Crocodiles from the
Mist Illustrated short
story, published 1978 Doctor: 4
featuring Leela
Written by the
World Distributors Annual 1979 crew.
Arbitrary placement Takes place on
the unnamed third planet out from the larger of two suns.
Burrowed Time
Audio drama, released 2019 Doctor: Unbound
Featuring Benny
Written by Lani Woodward.
Arbitrary placement Takes place on Byrinthia
Kerblam! TV story, broadcast 2018 Doctor: 13
Featuring Graham,
Ryan, Yaz
Written by Pete McTigue,
script supervised by Chris Chibnall.
Informed guess Takes place on a moon of Kandoka, in Telluriam space. Robots are in
common use and Tellurians have lifespans of over three centuries.
The
Torchwood Archive Audio drama, released
2016 Doctor: 0
Featuring Captain Jack, Torchwood, with Queen
Victoria (glimpse)
Written by James Goss.
Takes place in Tellurian space; self-dated 4421 CE.
Transmission Ends Short story, published 2008 Doctor:
8
Written by Richard Salter.
Informed guess Takes place on
and above Floronia, a long-settled Tellurian colony world at the time of the
Federation.
Body
Snatched Comic story, published 2011 Doctor: 11
Featuring Amy or an Amy ganger, Rory
Written by
Tony Lee.
Takes place
in Bedlam, in the Trans Universe Union, the later sections set in the 45th
century CE.
Rewriting History Short story, published 2015 Doctor: 10
Featuring Martha
Written by James Swallow.
Takes place on Karadax,
probably in the forty-fifth century CE.
Plague of the Daleks Audio drama, released
2009 Doctor: 5
Featuring the
Daleks, Nyssa
Written by Mark Morris.
Takes place in Stockbridge;
self-dated the forty-fifth century CE. The Destruction of a large Dalek fleet
“centuries” previously has led Tellurians to conclude that the Daleks are
extinct. This may have been subsequent to the events of The Living
Death.
The Fate Of The Earth
95% of the Earth’s surface
has been rendered uninhabitable by solar flares. This presumably continues
until well after the end of the millennium.
